Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and classroom management
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Prepare teaching materials, visual aids, and classroom resources
- Supervise students during non-instructional times (e.g., recess, lunch, field trips)
- Support students with special education needs under the guidance of specialists
- Monitor student behavior and reinforce positive conduct
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies and procedures
- Help with grading, attendance tracking, and record-keeping
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve student outcomes
- Participate in professional development and training sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Diploma or certification in education, child development, or related field
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is an asset
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education
